Kalyan Pantha (Member)

Mr Kalyan Pantha is a trained water professional who is very passionate on achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 (clean water and sanitation). Currently, he is pursuing PhD at Federation University working on remediation of emerging contaminants from wastewater. He holds an MSc in Water Science from University of Duisburg Essen, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Before joining PhD, Mr Pantha worked in different government and non-government organizations in Nepal where he was actively involved in developing and implementing projects on WASH, Renewable Energy, Livelihood and Environment. In addition, he also worked as a Research Assistant at Leibniz Institute for Analytical Science and Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology in Germany. Besides, Mr. Pantha has also published several articles on peer-reviewed journals.

Mr. Pantha is keen to work together with organizations in Nepal and abroad to promote and enhance livelihood of underprivileged people of Nepal through empowerment, infrastructure development, technology transfer, embracing the local indigenous technologies and resource management.
